The slavink is the very first quick-ready article ever devised. It is a roll of minced pork to which sometimes a very small amount of minced beef is added for firmness. The minced meat is nicely seasoned and rolled into a roll. Depending on the recipe, one or more slices of fresh lean bacon are placed around it. The slices are rolled in such a way that the juiciness of the minced meat, during baking, remains as much as possible within the roll.
