The slavink is the very first quick-ready article ever devised.

It is a roll of minced pork to which sometimes a very small amount of minced beef is added for firmness. The minced meat is nicely seasoned and rolled into a roll. Depending on the recipe, one or more slices of fresh lean bacon are placed around it. The slices are rolled in such a way that the juiciness of the minced meat, during baking, remains as much as possible within the roll.

Cheaper varieties have less bacon and are dipped with the ends in the breadcrumbs.
